You are a mutant trying to survive in the Wasteland.

Everything out here is dangerous: every living thing is as desperate as you are in trying to survive as best as they can, possibly by eating you. Everything is radioactive: soil, water, air and the few creatures and plants left. Your DNA is unstable and a new mutation is constantly around the corner. Your life expectancy is low, but if you can make use of your new skills, maybe you can survive another day. When you were still living in the underground bunker, before they kicked you out, there were rumors that somewhere in the Wasteland there was a place called "the oracle of Kài-Yga", with drinking water and fertile soil. Everyone talked about it, but no one had the guts to risk their necks venturing out to find it. You never believed in it, but now it might be the only salvation. If it really exists.

NOT TODAY WASTELAND is a post-apocalyptic tabletop roleplaying game about a group of mutants trying to survive in the Wasteland. It has one-page rules and a few other pages with mutation tables, random encounters and plot twists, in order for the GM to generate an adventure with no preparation.

NOT TODAY WASTELAND has a dark, weird, humorous tone and it's perfect for an improvised one-session game, as well as for longer adventures. The game system is designed to reflect the essence of the setting: adaptation. Most mutant characteristics come from random mutations, which not only diversifies the game sessions, but also pushes players to adapt to circumstances and be creative. In the Wasteland, all living beings have diverse and specific needs. Violence is not necessarily the best solution...
